This site is dedicated to the photographical history of Castle Bytham.

I first found an interest in the photography being used to depict the history of architecture after a business trip to San Francisco where I purchased a copy of the book San Francisco Then & Now. The book placed photographs taken in the late 19th & early 20th centuries alongside contemporary images taken from the same viewpoints.

It was through a failed planning application where I found myself having to prove the previous existence of a building that I employed this technique. From that point on things have grown.

This site is fully maintained & paid for by myself. There is no charge to use, however, I do rely on those good people of the parish to donate images or allow me to scan them.
